Hey!!!!

I know. It’s been a LONG time.

I’ve been honoured to be working full time at The Life Coach School (where I trained as, and train, Life Coaches), getting a few new projects underway.

Being in the presence of a team who think that we are limitless in terms of what we can accomplish is thrilling.

Or should I say, limited only by our minds.

I took a break from my writing in order to focus, and I apologize for not giving you any warning about this.

I love and appreciate all the messages I got asking where I was, and I wanted to tell you that I’m back in touch.

The focus of my writing is going to change, as I’m no longer focusing exclusively on weight loss in my coaching practice, and I wanted to let you know, so you can decide if you want to keep receiving my emails.

Cheryl Richardson took a visiting guest to a dinner with her close friends, and after a while, the guest turned to her and said:

“There’s no small talk here.

There’s only BIG talk.

I turned excitedly to my friend, who was at her talk with me, and said

“That’s all I do!!! I only do Big Talk!”

That’s why I’m so particular about the social events I go to, and those I stay at.

I LOVE people, and spend a lot of time socializing, but I’m super selective about what I’m willing to talk about.

It’s Big Talk or nothing Baby.

Things that matter to us –

Husbands. Kids. Not what they do in the world, but what they do in our hearts and our minds.

Careers. Professions. Hobbies. Not what we do, but our feelings, inspirations and desires about it.

Goals. Not how much or where, but whether we feel inspired when we think about them, and why or why that is.

Failures. Successes. Things we love about ourselves. Things we hate.

Other people. NAH. Gossip and sharing other people’s stories is SO small talk and never worth how crappy I feel after.

Money. Not how much you have, but all the thoughts and feelings it brings up for you.

Weight and weight loss. Sure, but not exclusively. The intricacies of it. Why we want it and don’t do it.

This may sound like I only want to have coaching conversations, but that’s not the case at all. I never coach people socially, although of course I do see the world through the basic premise of my coaching, which is that we create our entire world experience with how we interpret what is in front of us.

What I want is to have meaningful conversations. Where we share our souls with each other. I have no interest in sharing our facades. I’m not judging people who do – I think we should all do what feels amazing to us and this is what feels amazing to me.

And these are the conversations I want to have with you.

Big Talk with Bev.

That’s going to be the title of my new blog, and the focus of my weekly writing.

If it sounds big and exciting to you, stay put.
